We have been busy at Oopsie Doodles! Although we are still in quarantine, we are making the best of our time together. I also think the pups "paws"itively think this time is the best! Especially after today.
We had our niece and nephew over and wanted to do something fun with them. We all had a blast making these sweet treats, you guys!
We have found that with having pups, it is a good idea to have budget friendly, healthy and delicious treat recipes, ingredients and tools on hand. Especially if you have picky eaters or pups with sensitivities, these treats are sure to satisfy any appetite!
The ingredients are simple and quick! And coupled with these adorable treat makers <-- HERE! and Here! <--- they are better than store bought!
Recipe
(SO easy!)
1 can Pumpkin Puree
1/4 cup Peanut Butter (*be sure it does NOT include xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
2 Eggs
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 tea Cinnamon
Heat oven to 350.
Mix pumpkin, peanut butter, eggs and cinnamon in a mixing bowl, and fold in flour. mix until a smooth sugar cookie-like batter is formed.
You will need to roll the dough out on a flat surface. We used our favorite silicone rolling pin and pastry mat here.
Once the dough is rolled out thin, we took cookie cutters and cut out sweet treats that we were sure our fur friends would love. Who wouldn't?
We placed the cut out "cookies" on a baking sheet, lined with our silicone baking liner and popped them in the oven. 25 minutes and they were ready to come out! Cool for 10 minutes and enjoy a sweet treat with your fur friend.
